What is it?
Broody Boost is a carefully balanced nutritional supplement created to support broody hens. Made with a blend of quality grains, protein-rich ingredients, natural botanicals, and supportive nutrients, it is designed to complement your hens’ usual feed when they are eating less. Broody Boost may be fed dry or as a wet mash. It can be added as a ‘topper’ to your usual feed or fed as a treat . It may also be used as the major food source for up to 3 weeks. Under these circumstances we would recommend using in conjunction with Revitamin Plus.
What is it for?
Broody hens can spend long periods sitting on the nest, often neglecting their own health while they focus on caring for their clutch. This mix provides targeted support to help maintain body condition, energy levels, feather health, and overall wellbeing during broodiness—offering a little extra care when your hens need it most. Broody Boost can encourage appetite and food intake (especially when fed as a wet mash). It is nutrient dense so a small amount can make a big difference to your hen’s diet.
How is it made?
Broody Boost is hand made in house to ensure quality and freshness. We have selected high energy palatable cereals along with hemp seed meal and sunflower hearts for extra protein and omega oils. Brewers yeast is an excellent source of B vitamins to encourage appetite while supporting a healthy gut. Seaweed meal adds vitamins and minerals and dried British nettle is full of anti-oxidants and supports a healthy immune system.
Feeding Instructions:
Designed to complement your hens usual feed. Feed separately as a wet mash mixed with water, or use wet or dry mixed with layers feed. Broody Boost can also be fed separately as a treat.
Feed 20-30g per hen per day when fed with layers feed.
Can be fed as the main food for up to 3 weeks at 70-90g
per hen per day.
If feeding wet, dispose of any uneaten mash after 12 hours.
Ensure fresh drinking water is available at all times.
