Apple Cider Vinegar – A natural tonic for all animals
What is it?
Pure Devon Cider Vinegar is locally produced, unfiltered and unpasteurized. It is made with whole apples in a traditional way which extracts all the goodness.
Unlike many commercially produced vinegars, ours contains the all important ‘mother’ consisting of enzymes, gut friendly bacteria, pectins and apple residues. These provide the many nutritional benefits of cider vinegar.
What is it for?
Cider vinegar is fed to support the immune system, for intestinal health and to maintain stamina. It is, therefore, a hugely popular traditional supplement for all animals. Feed to horses and dogs as a general tonic. It is especially beneficial to older animals, just add to their food. For chickens, dilute with water to support overall well-being of your birds, particularly during times of stress.
Cider vinegar is a natural tonic suitable for all animals. It is rich in vitamins and minerals, is a natural anti-bacterial and offers cleansing properties. It isn’t just good for feeding though! There are also many ways to use it externally, for example, in home made fly sprays, as a final rinse after a bath to condition the coat and repel parasites and for cleaning buckets & coops etc..
How is it Made?
Manufactured from a local craft cider producer who exclusively sources apples from orchards within Mid Devon. Traditional techniques teamed with state of the art premises combine to produce what we think is the best quality cider vinegar you can buy. It is unpasteurised and unfiltered and full of natural goodness – just as it should be! It is very unlike the mass-produced vinegars you see at the feed store.
Feeding Instructions
Mix into the animal’s usual feed.
Horses – 30 – 60ml per day, depending on size.
Working Dogs – ¼ – 1teaspoon per day, depending on breed. A 25kg dog should receive ½ teaspoonful (approx. 2.5ml) per day
Chickens – Add 20ml per litre of water (2%)
Packaging:
250ml, 1lt & 5lt. 1lt size with a built in measuring dispenser, optional pump for 5lt.
