What is it

Hoof Hero Hoof Balm is a rich and nourishing hoof balm made from 100% natural ingredients.  We were concerned about the number of hoof products on the market which have health warnings printed on the labels. This is due to the chemicals they contain – if they can be harmful to human skin, why would we put them on our horse? Many are also petroleum based, which is neither good for the planet or good for your horse’s hooves.  Hoof Hero is the result of months of research – it is rich and nourishing, leaves a long lasting sheen but is breathable and chemical & plastic free.

What is it for

Hoof Hero Balm can be used to support the condition of the hooves, or just for competition turn-out. The natural ingredients nourish and protect, locking in moisture to prevent the hooves from drying out, either during hot weather or when the horse is stabled. The natural oils and waxes will also prevent the hoof  from absorbing excess moisture and becoming soft and crumbly in very wet conditions.

How is it made

Hoof Hero Balm is a 100% natural hoof balm. We carefully blend the following ingredients to create a very rich hoof balm. As there is no water added there is no need for preservatives, stabilisers, emulsifiers or any of the other chemicals you frequently find in hoof creams and oils.  Also, a little goes a long way – it is very economical to use.

Our Ingredients:

Hemp Oil – We use our top quality Pure Devon Hemp Oil   known for its moisturising properties. It is rich in Omega 3, 6 & 9 and a great source of vitamin E.

Coconut Oil – organic and unrefined – rich in saturated fat, just like the hoof wall. Known to be nourishing and moisturizing for skin and nails, and it will do the same for your horse.

Shea Butter – organic and unrefined – praised by cosmetic companies as being highly moisturizing.  It is rich in fatty acids and vitamins and has anti-fungal properties.

Bees Wax –  unrefined – creates a smooth solid balm without chemicals.  Creates a protective, breathable layer and promotes a long lasting shine.

Essential Oils – We have chosen lemon and cinnamon essential oils. naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal and used to support growth.

Directions:

Hoof Hero Balm is a natural hand made product. As is the nature with oils and waxes it will tend to be harder in cold weather, and softer in warm.

Hoof Hero Balm may be applied with your fingertips, a brush, sponge or cloth.  Try massaging into the coronet band with your finger tips – it is kind to your hands as well as your horse’s hooves!

 

For poor hoof quality, crumbling, cracks and limited growth we would always recommend feeding our Hoof Hero Supplement.
